Fit Friday

Okay, my second week has been a dismal flop.  I had migraines Monday which pretty much puts me out of commission for anything too strenuous for at least another day.  Snow day Wednesday, so no time for mom to used the Wii, and Thursday flies by recovering the house, now it's Friday.  Arrrgh!!  What a frustrating week.  But, I have made new observations and resolve.  I realize that in order to use the system without being interrupted a kazillion times by everyone else who wants to play I need to get up earlier - a lot earlier.  This is a surprising struggle for me, a natural morning person.  Out here with the gloomy weather my body just can't seem to agree with my alarm clock that morning has really come.  So, next week's goal: get up before everyone else and get my workout done.  That gives me more chance of actually doing it.  I guess that's the positive negative of the Wii - everyone wants to use it!

Well, I'm off to exercise.  It's been far too long in between and I have to get back on the horse before it completely dies.  Better report next week, promise!  Besides, that machine is gonna try and make me feel even guiltier than normal.  I'm ready for my thrashing, I can take it!

  1. At least you have good intentions. I haven't even gotten that far yet. Mom

  2. Too bad you had one of those weeks, the migrane couldn't be avoided...and it seems like once you start the week out that way it has a snowball affect. That cleaning on Thursday had to amount for something! I've been really sick with the flu the past two weeks and it has sucked the energy from me. So here's to a better week next week for both of us!

  3. I hope this comment has good memories for you of what we once did together many years ago in the dead cold and dark of winter.

We decided we wanted to be healthier and runners! So off we went with a list and a plan and headed to the Van Valet center to run around the ice rink. (This is sounding a little crazy). We relied on each other for motivation along with this quote from Theodore Roosevelt.

"Better to try mighty things and fail, than to live in a grey twilight where there is neither victory nor defeat."

So good luck in your future healthier endeavours.
